“What would you recommend?”
It’s such a great question to be asked because it gives us a chance to tell a story. ProSolutions Training employees take our own courses more often than you might think.
For one, we need to review the user experience once we finish creating them to ensure it is the best it can be.
We also run into times in our professional and personal lives where we could use some refreshers. We aren’t just the busy butterflies behind the scenes making the courses. We are employees, coworkers, friends, moms, sisters, aunts, grandmothers…the list goes on.
On a stressful day, I find that taking the course The Mindful Classroom is just what I need. Or, when I visit my cousin’s young children, they ask me a lot of questions. So I refresh beforehand by reviewing Answering Children’s Questions and walk in prepared for whatever they throw my way.
Product Development and Instructional Design is the most knowledgeable team when it comes to our course content. This team works behind the scenes researching and creating courses, making the magic happen!
We hope you enjoy these recommendations and find them as helpful as we do for navigating your work with young children.

An ever-changing world has put us all to the test. I have discovered that emotional wellness and resilience is multi-dimensional. This personal growth mindset has empowered me by shaping future thinking-patterns in support of any challenges. By consciously adopting a healthier outlook, there exists an opportunity to become stronger. There are many consequences of adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and extreme stress that can compromise the emotional well-being of children (and adults). Resilience is an important concept and has a direct role in healing. In the course, the participant will look at signs of trauma and ways to reduce the negative impact of traumatic experiences.

I love the “Calming Thoughts: Supporting Children with Anxiety” course. It is important to recognize that many children deal with anxiety. The course provides adults with the skills to support children with anxiety by showing different signs of anxiety, causes of anxiety, and the benefits of providing support.

We all know that children need consistent, positive interactions to thrive. But what happens when a parent experiences stressors such as depression or anxiety? This course provides useful information on the impact of parental mental health and how to partner with families to support a child’s development.

I appreciate courses like this because too often we consider teachers and their lives and challenges as “out of sight, out of mind.” Frank, knowledgeable conversations centered around preventing teacher burnout are long overdue. Taking an honest look at our physical, mental, and emotional limitations as human beings is hard enough without such things being prevented by stigma. We encourage parents and children to have empathy, be patient, and acknowledge boundaries, but too often we can’t do the same with regards to ourselves. Courses like this start and encourage the conversation and offer solutions - both in the long and short-term.

My favorite course is Answering Children's Questions. This course will help with identifying stress related behaviors in young children, as well as ways to talk with them about those events in a supportive way.
