Description
It has been often stated that the peak of curiosity occurs in toddlerhood. Just watch the tireless exploration of children between 18-36 months, and you will be convinced that toddlers are like little scientists, observing and taking in everything!
In this course, we will review key aspects of toddler cognitive development. We will examine how these new emerging abilities contribute to new ways of thinking, experimenting, and a language explosion. And finally, we will explore some great ideas for supporting cognitive development in the toddler classroom and also touch on some activities to avoid with toddlers.
This course will be divided into two parts:
- Part 1 - Cognitive Development Milestones
- Part 2 - Cognitive Development Activities
