Description
Tragic child drowning accidents happen every year - some in child care settings. The simple truth is that water-related accidents are preventable!.
Drowning is truly the ''silent killer'' of young children: there are usually no screams or noises to alert the caregiver. In addition to drowning, there are other potential hazards involving water. Therefore, water safety is a priority for all child care settings - center and home, indoors and out. This course will help you learn to be proactive in all aspects of water safety for young children.
(Note: this course does not include in-water rescue, first aid or CPR, which should be taken separately by caregivers from an approved provider.) Not all courses are approved for early care and education in every state. Please check State and CEU Approvals page for details.
