Description
In this course, we are going to explore the major developmental milestones achieved during an infant's social and emotional development. Infancy is commonly defined as birth through 18 months. The child's developing brain makes millions of connections during this time and the result is a constantly changing, enthralling, and delightful little human being!
Warm, responsive caregiving practices are necessary for babies to form the first important relationships from which so much healthy development follows. We will also explore practices that support social and emotional development in infants.
This course will be divided into two parts:
- Part 1 - Social and Emotional Development Milestones
- Part 2 - Social and Emotional Development Activities
Not all courses are approved for early care and education in every state. Please check State and CEU Approvals page for details.
