Description
This course contains information and ideas about the art of communicating with children and families. To effectively communicate with anyone, you must learn active listening skills. When you listen well, you understand what children are telling you and children feel understood and valued. The same concept is true when communicating with families and staff. This too is an important part of the day-to-day life of early childhood centers and programs.
This course will be divided into two parts:
- Part 1 - Listening to Children
- Part 2 - Communicating With Families
Not all courses are approved for early care and education in every state. Please check State and CEU Approvals page for details.
