Description
This course will provide an overview of assessment and observation in the early childhood classroom. Assessment can help early learning practitioners understand and support children's development as well as evaluate their programs' effectiveness. Observation is one of the oldest and best methods for assessing what children know, what interests them, and how they learn. Careful observation can help you plan a curriculum that will meet the needs of the children in your care.
This course will be divided into two parts:
- Part 1 - Assessment: Purposes, Methods and Tools
- Part 2 - Documenting Children's Progress
