The Child Development Associate (CDA) is a national credential issued by the Council for Professional Recognition for those who care for children ages birth through five. Many states now require the CDA as a minimum educational requirement to work in the field of early care and education. This one-hour course will provide an in-depth description of the Direct Assessment Process with the Council for Professional Recognition. The Assessment Process is the second step in earning a CDA Credential. You should complete the first course in this series, "Introduction to the CDA Credential Part I: Overview and Training," before completing this course, in order to understand your options for the first step, which is completing the education component of the process. Not all courses are approved for early care and education in every state. Please check State and CEU Approvals page for details.
