Description

In the first few years of life, young children develop and grow rapidly. If you look around at infants - from birth to 18 months - you will see that their physical capabilities differ markedly, depending on age. One reason for the change in what a child can do over the first 18 months is that their bodies and brains are constantly changing and growing faster than at any other time in their lives. Likewise, it has been often stated that the peak of curiosity occurs in toddlerhood. Just watch the tireless exploration of toddlers (children between 18-36 months), and you will be convinced that toddlers are like little scientists on the move, observing and taking in everything!

This course will take you through that exciting time of physical development, as a baby grows rapidly into a "world explorer" of his or her own environment!

This course will be divided into two parts:
  • Part 1 - Physical Development in Infants
  • Part 2 - Physical Development in Toddlers

Not all courses are approved for early care and education in every state. Please check State and CEU Approvals page for details.
