Mandated Health and Safety Orientation
ProSolutions Training has contracted with a number of states to provide the new CCDF Health and Safety Orientation to child care providers. In these states, the child care professionals that work in that state can complete the coursework at no charge. Please follow the links below to enroll in the CCDF Health and Safety Orientation if your Kids ‘R’ Kids Learning Academy is in any of the following states:
Georgia
This package meets the requirements for the Georgia CCDF Health and Safety Orientation Training.
This FREE Bright From the Start 6 Hour approved online training is free to providers in the state of Georgia.
This certificate program was designed to meet the requirements for the Georgia Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) Health and Safety Orientation Training.
In addition to meeting the CCDF training requirements, this program also meets the first year basic six training requirement. Direct care staff within the first year of employment must obtain 10 hours of training, 6 of which are: a) at least 4 hours of training on disease control, cleanliness, basic hygiene, illness detection, illness disposition and childhood injury control; and b) at least 2 hours of training in identifying, reporting and meeting the needs of abused, neglected or deprived children.

Nevada
This package is designed to meet the federal training requirements for Nevada. Due to the Child Care Development Block Grant (CCDBG) Act of 2014, the Health and Safety training is required within 120 days of employment for new employees in Nevada. Existing caregivers are required to complete the new training in accordance with their facility’s licensure date.
South Carolina
The SC Health & Safety Pre-Service Certificate is a free on-line program that is eligible to anyone working in child care in South Carolina. Once an individual completes all required coursework, they will receive their SC Health & Safety Pre-Service Certificate. All hours completed will be forwarded to the Center for Child Care Career Development to count towards your DSS training hours in the designated topic area in the calendar year in which they were taken.
ATTENTION: SC’s free Pre-Service Health and Safety Course is required for ABC Quality/SC Voucher administrators and teachers. Completion of this course is required once and will be accepted one time to count towards child care licensing requirements. Providers should not repeat this course. Credit toward licensing training requirements will not be accepted twice.

Other States
The Health and Safety Orientation Training package meets the requirements for the CCDF. Some states have developed specific training for providers, so check with your state licensing department or registry to confirm this package will meet both the federal and state mandate for your state. The above state-specific training WILL NOT be recognized as meeting the new requirements in other states.
