Description
Behavior management is one of the most popular and important topics in early childhood education. When caregivers of young children are unable to understand how to successfully manage children's behavior, it can lead to frustration for both the caregiver and the child. Helping caregivers understand the root of children's behaviors and how to address common behavioral concerns can create a more positive classroom environment and learning experience for all involved.
This course, based primarily on Dr. Becky Bailey's
Conscious Discipline approach, will help deepen your understanding of the nature and principles of young children's behavior and help you learn positive, effective behavior management techniques in the early childhood classroom setting.
This course will be divided into two parts:
- Part 1 - Principles of Behavior Management: What do we know?
- Part 2 - Principles of Behavior Management: What can we do?
