Child care is a fact of life for many American families. The number of children cared for daily by someone
other than their parents has skyrocketed as more parents have joined the paid work force.
As the number of children in care increases, there is growing concern about the availability of quality child care. As one of the few meeting places for parents of young children, early childhood settings also offer
a unique opportunity to reach out to and support parents during one of the most crucial periods of their lives.
This course will explore resources available for children and families.
