Description
A major part of physical development in the first few years of life is the development of gross motor skills. Gross motor development involves the group of large muscles that control the head, shoulders, arms, back, abdomen and feet. As children grow, gross motor development occurs naturally, but its progress is also dependent on having lots of practice and repetitive exercise.
This course will explore the milestones of gross motor development and activities to support gross motor development in infants (ages birth to 18 months) and toddlers (ages 18-36 months).
This course will be divided into two parts:
- Part 1 - Gross Motor Activities for Infants
- Part 2 - Gross Motor Activities for Toddlers
