Description
Young children are curious and ready to learn about the world around them. You can encourage and inspire their natural curiosity by teaching them about science and social studies.
This course will help you understand the importance of a scientific education, introduce you to the basics of science for young children, and even give you some suggestions of fun scientific activities for your classroom. You will also learn how a good social studies curriculum allows children to understand their world and helps them to be contributing members of their families, classrooms, and communities. A strong foundation in social studies content and skills also prepares young children for history, geography, and other subjects they'll encounter in school.
This course will be divided into two parts:
- Part 1 - Teaching Science
- Part 2 - Teaching Social Studies
